There are many different types of exotic leathers including pythons, whip snake, stingray (shagreen), fish, and ostrich. These skins tend to be more expensive than "regular" cow and lamb leathers and are used by designers to create striking beautiful accessories or apparel. In the case of some exotics like ostrich it can even be used in upholstery. Reptile leather skins like our snake and alligator have scales which provide a unique texture. Even more than other leather exotic leathers come in irregular shapes (picture a snake's shape!).
